Blind Date

The blind date showed promise as sparks flew, grinding the tension against the pleasure with a couple of drinks to oil the wheels. It was touch and go but an air of warmth and empathy pierced the awkward quiet bubble, and with gentle looks, ease and comfort, each wished to make it work. Words were redundant - a pointless garnish on a perfect dish. We learned that love could grow and go unstated. Those delicious silences said as much.
