You’re My Everything

by Poetic Rizz

Original poem "You Are..." by Beth Corle

Love

Poetry Now Version

You’re the spark in my darkness,

The calm in my chaos,

The breath of fresh air when I’m suffocating,

The thread that mends my wounds,

The compass that guides me home,

The clarity in my confusion,

The bridge that connects us,

The memories we create together,

The laughter that fills our days,

And the shield against all storms.

In this journey of life, you are my everything.

Original Poem

My light in the shadows

My shelter from the storm

The air when it's hard to breathe

That keeps me going on

The stitches when I'm hurt

The "way home" when I'm lost

The clear-blue of the river

The bridge so I can cross

The moments that become memories

The sound so I can laugh

My protector when I'm threatened

You are my other half
