In the quiet of night, it’s just us two,

A cocoon of calm where our spirits renew.

Your heartbeat echoes in my embrace,

As we rest together, finding our place.

I close my eyes and start to dream,

Of a love that’s stronger than it may seem.

We’re whole when united, never apart,

Two souls merging—one beating heart.

We are woven together in our very own cocoon.

I feel your heartbeat against my chest,

I hold you tight as we both rest.

I start to drift off to sleep,

And think of how I turned complete.

I am only complete when you are near,

To lose you someday is my biggest fear.
