Sunlit Waters and Kisses Sweet
by Poetic Rizz
Original poem "Breeze skipping over water," by Sara McDermott
Poetry Now Version
Imagine a river, where the sky spills its secrets,
And your gaze is the light that makes them shine.
In this place where winter gives way to spring,
And summer's warmth ignites our hearts,
The trees shed their blooms like summer snow,
As we share kisses that last an eternity.
You’re not just my sun; you’re my whole sky.
— Poetic Rizz
Original Poem
Water reflecting lights strung over the bridge,
Lights shining in your eyes.
The fresh, bold feeling of something new,
As winter melts into liquid spring,
And summer takes shape and ripens alongside love.
The petals from the flowering trees, snow for the summer,
Floating down around us as we kiss,
Once, twice, then forever.
You aren't just my sunshine.
You're my sun.
