I wish I were your bedtime toys
by Poetic Rizz
Original poem "I wish I were a teddy bear" by Chris Stevens
Poetry Now Version
Imagine me as a teddy,
resting on your bed,
so every hug you give,
is a moment with me instead.
Or picture me as your pillow,
soft and always near,
so every time you sleep,
we’d be together without fear.
And what if I were a blanket,
wrapping you through the night?
Then every dream you chase,
would have my warmth in sight.
In this fairytale we live,
where dreams come true and clear,
every moment spent is one
where you're forever near.
— Poetic Rizz
Original Poem
That lay upon your bed
So that every time you cuddled it
You'd cuddle me instead
I wish I were the pillow
You need to fall asleep
So that every time you went to bed
We'd lie cheek to cheek
I wish I were the blanket
That keeps you warm at night
So that every time you went to rest
I could hold you tight
I wish life were a fairytale
Where all my dreams came true
And that every moment spent
Would be one spent with you
