Snakes And Ladders

Will you climb the ladder touching every rung of success Will every rung cloud your thoughts and strengthen the margin of your dreams Will your enemies just laugh scream and shout Filling your mind with doubt so you will fall not climb Is it possible at all to reach a cloudless life of the highest ladder rung or will those snakes of paranoid people distract thou Filling your mind with a curse of your own faithful fears And you have to be careful never to slip and slide So never listen to those snakes they will eat you alive Those snakes can never hold hands to unite Those snakes all have hate in their own paranoid insight They wriggle close to the earth,They can't hold on to the ladder at all So always remember you climb,And the snakes they all fall
