Senseless Words

words flew from his mouth a murmuration of wind upon wings fluttering patterns past my ears a cacophony of sounds without meaning without depth a stream of words become a torrent a tsunami of talking points obfuscation as alliteration more than my ears could endure it was less about what was said as how he said it the vacuum created as if air was sucked out of the room no one dared breathe fearing they would inhale semiotic infection without semiosis the dignity of community reduced to atomistic disorder untethered and floating free
